Fetchii vs 4K Video Downloader Plus on Mac
Short answer
4K Video Downloader Plus runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, has a free version with download limits, and sells yearly and lifetime plans. Fetchii is a Mac-only app you buy once for $19.99. It records streams while they're live, cuts YouTube sponsor segments, sends videos from Safari or Chrome with a right-click, and on Apple Silicon makes subtitles, summaries and a searchable library on your Mac.
Choose Fetchii if
- You only use a Mac and want to pay once, with no yearly plan
- You want to record streams while they're live
- You want a right-click Download with Fetchii in Safari, Chrome, Edge or Brave

4K Video Downloader Plus may suit you if
- You also use Windows or Linux: it runs on Windows 11, macOS 12 or later and Ubuntu, and there is an Android app.
- You only download now and then: there is a permanent free version with quantity limits.
- You want new uploads from YouTube channels downloaded automatically.
- You want 8K, 360° or 3D video downloads, or its AI sound tools such as vocal removal.
- You are on macOS 12 or 13, which Fetchii doesn't support.
