Paste the YouTube Live link into Fetchii and press Enter; Fetchii recognises the broadcast and asks you to start recording. It records the stream as it airs and stops cleanly when you stop it, the stream ends or the time limit in Settings → Recording is reached, saving an MP4 by default.
Step by step

Copy the live video's link
Open the livestream on YouTube and copy its address (a youtube.com/watch or youtube.com/live/ link).

Paste it into Fetchii
Paste the link into the link field and press Enter. Fetchii shows Livestream Detected: “Recording will continue until you stop it or the stream ends.”

Start recording
Click Start Recording. The recording shows in the Active section of the main window while it runs, and Fetchii's menu bar icon shows that it's recording.

Stop the recording
Click the stop button on the recording's row, or right-click it and choose Stop recording. Fetchii finishes the file and moves it to your download folder.
Please note:Record only livestreams you have permission to keep, and respect the creator's wishes and YouTube's terms.

Stop automatically
Set Settings → Recording → Max recording duration to 30 minutes, 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours to stop and save at that point.
Name recordings your way
Change Livestream naming pattern in Settings → Recording. The default is {title} {datetime}.
Get subtitles afterwards
On an Apple Silicon Mac, right-click the finished recording and choose Generate subtitles. See how to transcribe a video.

With the browser helper, right-click a YouTube live page and choose Record with Fetchii.
Questions
Does it record from the beginning of the stream?
No. Fetchii records from the moment you start the recording.
Can I skip sponsor segments in a livestream?
No. SponsorBlock is skipped for livestream recordings; it applies to regular YouTube downloads.
Can I save the stream after it has ended?
If the channel keeps the replay on YouTube, its link downloads like any regular video.
How many streams can I record at once?
Up to 5; the default limit is 3. Change it in Settings → Recording → Max concurrent recordings.
